I am a knitter and crocheter, so not long after I realized all the signs were pointing toward witchcraft, I found a free downloadable pattern for a very cool wall banner—at least for someone who practices lunar magick.
It's a pattern from the Yarnspirations website called Moon Phase Crochet Wall Hanging. I made it with yarn scraps, honestly—leftovers from other projects.
It was simple to make, though a lot more sewing than I ever like to do. If it wasn't so cool with the moon phases, I would never do something with this much sewing! All the blue circles are crocheted separately from the little moons, and then attached. I despise finishing (sewing seams, weaving in ends, attaching buttons, etc.), so if there's too much required for a project, often I won't do it.
My husband loves this new project. It's hanging in my kitchen above the sink, which I figured was a good place since I am a kitchen witch.
I've been looking for other witchy patterns, but I haven't seen many. I will continue to search!
